Refund policy

This Return & Refund Policy applies to all orders placed with Taizi through its website, home visit services, and service office.

By placing an order with Taizi, the customer acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the terms set out below.


1. Nature of Service

Taizi provides made-to-measure and custom-stitched garments that are produced specifically based on the customer’s measurements, fabric selection, and customisation instructions.

Due to the personalised and irreversible nature of this service, returns and refunds are strictly limited and governed solely by this policy.


2. No Returns on Custom Garments

Taizi does not accept returns for any custom-stitched or made-to-measure garments under any circumstances.

Once stitching has commenced, the order is deemed final.


3. Alterations Policy (In Place of Returns)

3.1 One Free Alteration Only

  • Each order is eligible for a maximum of one (1) free alteration.

  • Free alteration is not automatic and is provided solely at Taizi’s discretion.

3.2 Fit Issue

  • “Fit” is subjective by nature.

  • The customer must share clear photos or videos highlighting the alleged issue.

  • Taizi alone will determine whether the issue qualifies as an objective fitting error.

  • Taizi’s decision on whether an alteration is required shall be final and binding.

3.3 What Is Covered

  • Only objective measurement errors may be considered.

  • Personal preferences such as:

    • wanting a looser/tighter fit

    • comfort-based complaints

    • style or silhouette changes
      may or may not be entertained and are not guaranteed.

3.4 Time Window

  • Alteration requests must be raised within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Requests made after this window will not qualify for free alteration.

3.5 Customer Delays

  • If the customer delays, reschedules repeatedly, or fails to cooperate:

    • The free alteration is automatically cancelled.

    • Any further alteration will be chargeable.

3.6 Alteration Timeline

  • After customer intimation and Taizi’s confirmation, Taizi may take up to 15 days to revisit, collect, and process the alteration.

  • No refund, compensation, or escalation shall arise due to this timeline.


4. Cancellations & Refunds – Advance Payments

4.1 Cancellation Window

  • Advance payments are refundable only if the order is cancelled within 4 hours after measurement.

  • No advance is collected before measurements are taken.

4.2 Non-Refundable After 4 Hours

  • Once 4 hours from measurement have elapsed, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.

4.3 Stitching Commencement

  • If stitching of any garment in the order has started, the entire order becomes non-refundable.

  • Partial cancellations are not allowed.


5. Fabric Policy

5.1 Customer-Provided Fabric

  • Fabric provided by the customer is stitched entirely at the customer’s risk.

  • Old, weak, delicate, pre-used, or low-quality fabric may tear or get damaged during normal stitching.

  • Taizi shall not be liable for such issues.

If stitching cannot proceed due to fabric issues:

  • The customer must arrange pickup.

  • A ₹120 tailor travelling charge will apply.

5.2 Fabric Damage by Taizi

If customer-provided fabric is damaged solely due to Taizi’s handling:

  • Taizi may either:

    • remake the garment using similar fabric, or

    • refund the fabric value at the prevailing market rate as determined solely by Taizi.

  • Taizi’s valuation and resolution shall be final and binding.

5.3 Colour & Lighting Disclaimer

  • Complaints related to:

    • colour appearing different under lighting

    • shade perception changes
      are not entertained.

  • Customers are expected to examine fabric in multiple lighting conditions before confirmation.


6. Delivery, Timelines & Charges

6.1 72-Hour Timeline

  • The “72 hours” timeline is indicative, not guaranteed.

  • Delays may occur due to:

    • customer-side delays

    • fabric availability

    • courier delays

    • operational or external factors

  • No refunds or compensation will be provided for delivery delays.

6.2 Delivery Charges

  • A ₹95 delivery charge is applicable per order per address, regardless of number of garments.

6.3 Missed Delivery & Redelivery

  • If delivery is attempted and the customer is unavailable:

    • Redelivery will be chargeable.

    • Charges must be paid before re-dispatch.


7. Payments & Chargebacks

  • Taizi does not offer Cash on Delivery (COD).

  • Full payment is mandatory before dispatch or handover.

  • Any chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal raised after stitching has commenced will be treated as policy abuse.

  • Taizi reserves the right to contest such disputes with full documentation.


8. Bulk, Wedding & Designer Recreation Orders

  • Bulk, wedding, and designer recreation orders are treated as custom orders.

  • The same cancellation, refund, and alteration rules apply unless expressly agreed in writing prior to confirmation.


9. Policy Abuse & Service Refusal

Taizi reserves the right to refuse alterations, refunds, or future service in cases of:

  • repeated misuse of alteration requests

  • false or misleading claims

  • damage caused after delivery

  • non-cooperation

  • abusive or threatening behaviour

Such decisions shall be final.


10. Jurisdiction & Legal Authority

  • All disputes shall be subject to Mumbai jurisdiction only.

  • Taizi’s interpretation and decision regarding:

    • fit

    • fabric valuation

    • timelines

    • resolution
      shall be final and binding on the customer.


11. Policy Updates

Taizi reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.
Updates will apply only to orders placed after the revision date.
